Ryan Hall Will Do Chicago Marathon on October 9
You can never know whos going to be healthy, but things being as they are right now, Hall, who ran 2:04:58 at the Boston Marathon in April, is a heavy favorite to repeat as U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials champion in January.  And apparently hes confident that that status will not be affected by running a marathon in October.

History will be made in Las Vegas, Nevada this weekend. The largest NPC competition EVER will take place on July 29 and 30th at Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. As of a few days ago there were 632 registered competitors for this years event and look for that number to climb before show time. No, I dont know how the divisions will break down and how many are in each. Promoter Jon Lindsay has always done a terrific job with this event and this year looks to be no different. If you dont have your show tickets you better get them now because this will be a packed house!

New this year is the men and womens physique divisions.

Push ups are one of the most common exercises for building upper body strength, and one of the easiest because they don’t require any equipment or previous training. There are different types of push ups, with each variation working a different part of your arms and shoulders. KASHMA MAHARAJ is graceful as she is gorgeous.

She loves a challenge and invariably hits her mark when it comes.

It’s a feature those closest to her know all too well, but on June 15, Maharaj learnt a new way to focus her energy when she captured the Miss Body Fitness title at the T&T Body Builders Federation National Junior Championships.

Venue was the Ballroom at Cascadia Hotel and Conference Centre in St Ann’s, Port-of-Spain, where the young beauty won favour with the judges and captured the hearts of the audience.   

A newcomer to the stage, Maharaj admitted she was nervous.

She attempted to compete twice before, but never made the stage.

Amy Palmiero-Winters Makes History at Badwater Ultramarathon
Palmiero-Winters became the first female amputee to complete the 135-mile Death Valley to Mount Whitney race from the lowest point in the continental U.S. to the highest. She finished the task in 41 hours, 26 minutes and 42 seconds. The temperature in her prosthesis reached 160 degrees. Amy Palmiero-Winters lives on Long Island with her two children. She has been the overall winner of a 24-hour run and competed for the U.S. in a World 24-Hour Run Championship. She has received the Sullivan Award as the nations top amateur athlete.
