Moses Mosop, the 2:03:06 Man, Enters Chicago Marathon
Mosop, in his first attempt at 26.2 miles in April in Boston, finished just four seconds behind winner Geoffrey Mutai as the two Kenyans ran the fastest marathon times in history. And on June 3, the tireless Mosop set a new world record of 1:26:47 for  30,000 meters on the track in Eugene, Oregon.

Now, after a course tour with Bank of America Chicago Marathon Executive Director Carey Pinkowski, Mosop has announced hell race in Chicago on October 9. I was very pleased with my performance at the Boston Marathon, especially since it was my first marathon. In my second marathon, I want to run even faster,” says Mosop. I feel that the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is where I have the best opportunity to do that. I like the course, I feel strong in my training and I am looking forward to coming back to Chicago for this great event. Mosop was also a 2005 World Championships 10,000-meter bronze medalist and a 2007 World Cross Country silver medalist.

Moses is one of the top runners in the world and his performance at the Boston Marathon this past April was truly amazing, says Pinkowski. His track and cross country credentials are impressive and it is that blend of inherent speed and strength that has traditionally produced historic performances at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. Perdita Felicien Pursues the Boyfriend Who Avoids You
Thats the Canadian hurdlers pithy description of the Olympics. You need to go after him, she says of the Games. She was a World champion in the 100-meter hurdles in 2003 and a silver medalist in 2007 but her Olympic life has been snakebit; she fell in Athens in 2004 and was injured and unable to compete in Beijing in 2008. Felicien has now relocated to Calgary, Alberta, with a new coach and training mates.  It’s a situation where I can get the medical and training, all the benefits of working with other like-minded athletes, Felicien explains. Everyone has really embraced me. It feels good.” (photo of Perdita Felicien and Lolo Jones by Giancarlo Colombo/Photo Run) More
